Nancy Marshall Communications was awarded the Maine Public Relations Council’s top honor, Best in Show, at the council’s 2018 Golden Arrow Awards ceremony earlier this month.

The Cleveland Indians are dropping the Chief Wahoo logo from their uniforms next year after decades of protests and complaints that the grinning, red-faced caricature used in one version or another since 1947 is racist.

The move, announced Monday, came after protracted discussions between team owner Paul Dolan and baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred.

A quick start for the Anaheim Ducks finished Boston’s run of 18 straight games with a point.

Adam Henrique and Jakob Silfverberg scored in the first period, when Anaheim held Boston to just five shots, and the Ducks held on for a 3-1 victory Tuesday night.

“We did a good job in the first period. We had some jump going,” Ducks coach Randy Carlyle said.
