Update on train stop in Bath slated

A little more light will shine on plans to extend the Downeaster from Brunswick to Rockland on Wednesday night.

Patricia Quinn, executive director of the Northern New England Passenger Rail Authority, will present on the proposed service extension at the Bath City Council meeting set for 6 p.m. at Bath City Hall.

The work of Jan Roberson will be on display at Thornton Oaks, with the opening reception scheduled for Wednesday.

The opening of “Maine — The Way Life IS” will be at 4 p.m. Feb. 7. The exhibit will be on display at Thornton Oaks, located at 25 Thornton Way, through March. The public is invited to attend this free event.

Patten Free Library hosting women director film series
