Meg Milbourne
Hi! I am delighted that you are interested in the field of Early Childhood Education.
Do you find yourself naturally drawn to understanding children? Does how they grow, and learn interest you? The importance of Early Childhood Educators keeps growing and growing, as we learn how VALUABLE these years are.
I have been a preschool teacher for 25 years. I received a 4 year bachelors degree in Psychology, and then went on to get my Masters degree in education. Every school year is unique and I LOVE my job!
When I am not teaching, I am enjoying the company of my amazing family. There is never a dull moment with 2 teenage boys of my own, and 3 teenage step children where we live on our farm next to Pineland in Gray. My husband and I raise quail, we love gardening and cooking (especially the food we have grown). If I am not out in the barn, or tending the garden, you will most likely find me in the woods with my trusty companion Cora, who is a Belgian Malenois. Nature is very important to me, and I like finding creative ways to bring that into the classroom.
Please reach out to me, I would love to share more with you about the rewards of working with young children.
