The U.S. Geological Survey reported a magnitude 2.6 earthquake in the Richmond area, shortly before 7 p.m. It was recorded 3.1 miles southeast of Richmond and was 1.4 miles deep, according to the USGS. An agency map appears to place the earthquake in Dresden.
