Bath 7th girls split

Morse boys hoops win

TURNER — The Morse High School boys basketball team recently took down the Leavitt Hornets in Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference action recently.

Morse jumped out to a 15- 12 lead after a quarter and took a 26-20 lead into the locker room. A 20-14 third quarter extended its lead to 46-34 through three quarters.

Morse jumped out to a 15-5 lead after one quarter and held a two-point advantage after three before the Rams slipped past them.

Brunswick JV girls beat EL

AUBURN — The Brunswick High School girls’ junior varsity Orange team held Edward Little to five points in the first half as the Dragons defeated the Red Eddies, 52-18 on Tuesday.

Brunswick led 9-2 at the end of the first quarter and 24-5 at the half as they held EL to only two made field goals.

The Boston Bruins have been winning every conceivable way recently. Against the sagging New York Rangers, they used stellar goaltending early and six straight goals to do the job.
