Survey: Heating oil prices up 9 percent since October

AUGUSTA (AP) — The Governor's Energy Office says heating oil prices are starting to rise in Maine.

A statewide survey this week put the average price at $2.44 per gallon, an increase of 9 percent since the heating season begin in October.

Flight deck to provide electric vehicle charging

Flight Deck Brewing, in partnership with Revision Energy and Tesla Motors, will be unveiling four publicly accessible electric car chargers on Friday, Dec. 1 at 11 a.m. The chargers will be powered with 100 percent renewable energy, including from anaerobic bio-digestion and solar, according to a press release.

Topsham man, 40, suffers serious burns

Oakland receiver Michael Crabtree and Denver cornerback Aqib Talib had their two-game suspensions reduced to one game after appeal hearings on Tuesday.

Derrick Brooks heard Crabtree’s case and James Thrash heard Talib’s appeal, and both decided to reduce the two-game bans issued Monday by NFL Vice President of Football Operations Jon Runyan.
