Ethics Commission fines Newport senator for filing discrepancies

Mass. man charged with threatening restaurant owner

BRUNSWICK

A man who allegedly threatened a restaurant owner with a knife was arrested near Brunswick Station on Tuesday.

James Rozakis, 40, of Somerville, Massachusetts is charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, unlawful possession of a scheduled drug and violating conditions of his release.

The incident was reported at 8:30 p.m.

Brunswick group appeals Mere Point court ruling

Longtime Regional School Unit 1 Chairman Timothy Harkins has resigned from the board to take up a new position with the district as the food services director, Superintendent Patrick Manuel confirmed at Monday’s RSU 1 board meeting.

As an employee of the district, Harkins can no longer serve on the board, Manuel said.
