Bill to tackle rising electricity costs clears its first hurdle

A bill to address rising delivery costs in Mainers’ electric bills earned the green light from the Legislative Council on Thursday.

The 7-3 vote came on the heels of a devastating wind storm that resulted in the highest number of power outages in Maine history.

All tickets distributed for Bowdoin-Colby

There may be a limited number of returned tickets available prior to the game on Saturday evening. Fans without a ticket are encouraged to arrive when the doors open at 6 p.m. for the opportunity to receive tickets on game day.

Woodruff scores in Stonehill hockey win

WORCESTER, Mass. — The Stonehill College men’s ice hockey team saw four different goal scorers in a 4-1 victory over Bryn Athyn College Sunday afternoon at the Worcester Ice Center in the second round of the Steve L. Hoar Memorial Tournament, hosted by Becker College.

Former Brunswick standout Kyle Woodruff had a goal in the win.
