Heading into the 2017 Maine high school football season most people had Thursday night’s showdown between the Kennebunk Rams and Brunswick Dragons circled on their calendars.
That’s because the last time these two teams met was when Brunswick rolled to a victory over Kennebunk in the Class B state championship game last November.
First-year Poland High School field hockey coach Kayla Royer wanted the Knights to make an impact in the Western Maine Conference this season. On Thursday, they put a statement win on the resume with a 4-3 victory over Freeport in overtime.
