Hawaii anglers drift overnight in ocean, circled by sharks

HILO, Hawaii (AP) — Two people were rescued from Hawaii waters after spending a night drifting in the ocean surrounded by sharks.

The two people were fishing on Thursday off the Big Island’s northeast coast when a large, sudden wave hit and washed one of them into the water, the Hawaii Tribune- Herald reported .

Mom who drank on night of baby’s death to be sentenced

Man who led cops on long manhunt to be sentenced for murder

The sentencing hearing for Robert Burton is scheduled for Friday.

Topsham crash sends 3 to hospital

Three passengers in a sport utility vehicle were transported to a Lewiston hospital after the vehicle rolled over along Route 196 in Topsham early Friday morning.
