The Bowdoin College men’s ice hockey team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Saint Anselm College in the opening game of the Bowdoin/ Colby Faceoff on Saturday afternoon.

Pat Geary put the Polar Bears on the board 11:08 into the game, finishing off a feed from Sam Topham and Keenan Murray.

WOBURN, Mass. (AP) — Massachusetts State Police say a crash on Interstate 93 has left a Maine woman dead.

Troopers responded to a report of a crash on the northbound side of the highway around 5:10 p.m. Saturday in Woburn. A vehicle driven by 48-year-old Deborah Burpee, of Kennebunk, Maine, had hit another vehicle from behind.

Man suffered injuries to both arms in hunting accident

OXFORD (AP) — Authorities say at least one person has been injured in a hunting related shooting in Oxford.

WMTW-TV reports that a man in his thirties suffered serious injuries to both of his arms around 2 p.m. Saturday and was airlifted to a hospital. His name and condition were not immediately available.
