BIDDEFORD (AP) — Officials say the body of a 53-yearold woman has been recovered after the boat she was in capsized about 10-miles off the Maine coast.
Coast Guard Petty Officer Andrew Barresi says the body was found Sunday by the Maine Marine Patrol.
AUGUSTA (AP) — The state of Maine is hosting a job fair geared at encouraging employers to hire veterans.
The Tuesday fair will take place at the Augusta armory and include more than 100 employers and veteran services programs. The fair’s sponsors include state and federal veterans affairs bureaus as well as veterans groups.
TOPSHAM — First Light Camera Club ends its summer hiatus and reconvenes for a new season of programs and activities starting Sept. 7, from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The club meets regularly each month at the Topsham Medical Building at 4 Horton Place, and encourages beginning and experienced photographers to join.
BRUNSWICK — On Wednesday, Sept. 13 from 1-3 p.m. in the Morrell Meeting Room, Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St, Brunswick, Geologists Nelia Dunbar and Bill McIntosh will give a presentation on carrying out scientific research on volcanoes in Antarctica and insights provided into past and future climate change.
BRUNSWICK— The Mid Coast Hospital Classic 24th Annual Golf Fore! Health Tournament is scheduled for Sept. 13, at the Brunswick Golf Club. All proceeds from the tournament help Mid Coast Hospital provide health and wellness services to the community. Registration is still available.

Officials released more water from Houston area reservoirs overwhelmed by Harvey early today in a move aimed at protecting the city’s downtown from devastating floods but that could still endanger thousands of homes, even as the nation’s fourth-largest city braced for more rain.
The Great State of Maine Air Show returned to Brunswick over the weekend with aerial stunts, static displays, the U.S. Navy Blue Angels and sunny skies. The two-day event saw nearly 45,000 attendees and, according to air show spokesman Herb Gillen, it was a very pleasant weekend overall.
