Lisbon water rate is increasing by 10, 31%

Water rates are going up in Lisbon — but a public hearing Thursday didn’t generate much participation.

The Lisbon Water Commission discussed the new rates — which go into effect April 1 and will generate a 25-percent revenue increase for the water department — at the hearing.

Woodside evacuated after threat

A threat was received at Woodside Elementary School in Topsham has prompted an evacuation and the rerouting of buses  this morning.

Students are being picked up by parents at Mt. Ararat Middle School.

The decision was made not to allow students off the arriving school buses Friday morning.
